I had REALLY hoped to have this hosted on kickstarter, but sadly I had some issues with the setup of Stripe. Apologies for the last minute pivot back to my website.
Now onto the exciting bit:
The Sock Project is my little love letter to the fibre world. For years, I’ve worked in the corporate world, showing up, grinding, doing the thing… but dyeing yarn is what actually fills my heart. It’s where I feel like myself. It’s the one place where passion doesn’t feel like work... it feels like joy.
So I’m taking a big, slightly scary, incredibly exciting step and putting this out into the world!
I want to take Winston Fibres Co. from “my little dream” into “my full-time, real-life, holy-shit-this-is-happening” job. And this project; this silly, cozy, adorable, community-powered sock adventure is the first big step to growing my community to outside of the summer market space.
What IS The Sock Project?
It’s simple.
It’s fun.
It's a moment of peace in an otherwise, literally crazy time.
We’re creating 100(ish) completely unique sock kits — each one dyed specifically for one owner and one owner only.
100(ish) pairs.
100(ish) dedicated fibre artists.
One mission: to keep your toesies toasty.
Every single person who joins The Sock Project gets a completely unique colourway (one full sized skein and two minis) to craft into their favourite pair of socks. You’re not just buying yarn. You’re becoming part of the project.

Risks and challenges
The Sock Project is intentionally simple.
There are no major risks, no complicated moving parts, and no external suppliers that could delay things.
Every kit is dyed, packaged, and prepared by me in my studio, which means the entire process is fully within my control (aside from shipping). The only thing I want to call out is timing.
Every 25 backers I receive, I will dye up the kits <3 Please share with your friends and family as I am on a mission in 2026 to make my dream come true, hoping to share that dream with creators like you.
My goal is to make this process smooth, transparent, and fun for everyone involved. I take a lot of pride in my work, and I’m committed to delivering something beautiful, meaningful, and completely unique to every person who joins The Sock Project.
